Idag är det födelsedag, min närmare bestämt. Jag firar den i stillhet tillsammans med min lilla familj. Vi har varit ute hela dagen i det fantastiska vädret och jag har invigt flera av mina presenter. När man fyller år på våren passar det perfekt att önska sig trädgårdsgrejer. Det är jättebra för alla parter: jag får något jag verkligen vill ha och längtar efter, givaren får ge bort något rejält som verkligen kommer bli använt.
Today is my birthday and I'm celebrating it with my small family. We have been out the whole day in the sun, using all my new gifts. Since I have birthday in the Spring it comes natural to wish for garden tools.
I år fick jag en alldeles egen rejäl röd skottkärra och en superbra spade som klarar av lerjorden som vår trädgård är fylld med.
This time I got my very own big red wheelbarrow and a great spade.
Jag gav mig själv en liten örtagård, även om det gick lite fort i blomsteraffären och den uppstammade rosmarinen visade sig vara en lavendel.
Yesterday I bought myself a little herb garden for my kitchen window: thyme, basil, mint and lavender, which I thought was a rosemary in the store.
Och från buketten med ranunkel som jag fick av syster för drygt en vecka sedan finns fortfarande fyra stolta blommor kvar.
And four of the ranunculus I got from my sister ten days ago are still blooming.
