Djur och natur är en ständig källa till inspiration för mig. Bor man på landet blir skogens djur en del av vardagen, på gott och ont. När vi flyttade ut hit för 11 år sedan tyckte jag att hjortarna som vandrade utanför mitt köksfönster i morgonsolen var helt magiska - nu blir jag mest arg eftersom de äter upp alla godsaker i mitt grönsaksland. Rävar är otroligt vackra, men när Mickel gång på gång tar mina höns blir jag mordisk.
Hur som helst så har dessa djur inspirerat mig att göra dessa trofféer. Jakttroféer är ju ganska obehagliga men dessa små miniatyrvarianter kan man helt klart leva med.
Wildlife and nature have always inspired me. If you live in the country side the animals of the forest becomes a part of your every day life - for good and for bad. When we moved here 11 years ago I thought the deers outside my kitchen window was magical - now I´m mostly angry with them for eating my vegetables. And the fox is so beautiful, but when he keeps taking my chickens I really hate him.
Anyway these animals inspired me to make these trophies. Hunting trophies are quite horrible but these miniature ones I can sure live with.
Ramarna är cirka 10 x10 cm, gjorda av pinnar från skogsbacken bakom huset. Tälj till dem och limma fast på tunn fanér.
The frames are 10 x 10 cm (about 4" x 4") and made from sticks from the woods behind our house. Cut them and glue on a thin piece of veneer.
Jag gjorde de små huvudena i papperslera.
The heads are made from paper clay.
Sen målade jag dem med vattenfärger.
And then painted with water colours.
Skölden till varje trofé är gjord i filt.
The trophy shields are made of felt.
Fina papper inuti ramen ger illusionen av en tapet.
Pretty papers inside the frame looks like wallpaper.
